Education & Experience
Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in the staffing industry / recruiting.
Previous experience in a Recruitment or HR role is preferred.
Post-Secondary education in Human Resources, Business or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong understanding of best practices in recruitment.
Strong understanding of the provincial employment standards.
Comfortable working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, HRIS systems and online job advertising systems.
Strong time management and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to utilize sound judgement in the application of recruitment and screening procedures, as well as client requirements.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Recruiter will be responsible for:
Deliver excellent recruitment services and results to the company in an efficient, effective and professional manner.
Develop and maintain job advertisements on various platforms (i.e. Social Media, Job Boards, internally etc).
Sourcing of candidates within the local market.
Work with Management to determine hiring needs and work to meet those needs and requirements on a weekly basis.
Pre-screen, interview and conduct reference and background checks (on successful candidates).
Coordinate new hire on-boarding / Orientation and initial training schedules.
Manage new employee files and enter them into the HRIS systems.
Work with the Payroll department for employee pay administration.
Create pool of possible future hires.
