•3 years’ warehouse/ in courier industry.
•Knowledge & compliance with Dangerous Goods/WHMIS special handling procedures.
•College or University designation in an appropriate discipline.
•Prior working experience with quality/process improvement initiatives.
•Knowledgeable of Canada Labour Code part 2

•Responsible for timely and accurate distribution of inbound and/or outbound freight daily, in accordance with established standards and procedures
•Implements new procedures to improve operational effectiveness
•Ensures Productively standards are maintained
•Ensures set up is completed for next shift.
•Establishes/maintains a proactive safety program in compliance with legislative requirements and the collective agreement.
•Maintains a proactive security program to safeguard the company’s physical assets.
•Reroutes/guides operations as necessary to meet operation changes & emergencies.
•Completes accurate and timely reports for management as required (staff schedules, attendance records, recruitment/ payroll documentation, dangerous goods incidents, WCB reports, on hands, load quality, arrival/departure).
•Performs other assignments or miscellaneous duties as assigned/instructed
•Ensures sufficient staff resources, materials and supplies on hand at all times
•Daily measurement, monitoring and management of performance, costs, and capacity utilization.
•Manage the day to day operation of the JCC to meet operational changes and emergencies.
•Comply with Federal, Provincial, Transport of Dangerous Goods, etc. regulations and the Collective Agreement(s).
•Applying the appropriate leadership/management style to motivate staff.
•Timely delivery of reporting information to Management.
